Introduction by dmorista: The U.S. ruling class contains a large number of operatives who are willing to push to the brink of a major overseas war and/or a civil war, (and likely over the brink both inside the U.S. and overseas); to achieve their various socioeconomic and political agendas, both overseas and domestically. The biggest divide within the U.S. ruling Class over foreign policy issues is, as it has been for decades, between the Israel-Firsters / Ultra-Zionists and those who think they need to concentrate on other issues that are of greater concern to the U.S. Empire. Primarily, that set of issues concerns the emergence of China and East Asia as the main center of power and technological advancement on Earth and in Human History. The emergence of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) that has now grown to over 20 countries in either full membership, and other lesser types of association with the assembly. The BRICS now represents about 60% of the world's population and about 35% of the Economic Power of the world, and is largely focused on economic and developmental issues. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is more blatantly concerned with military and harder lined political questions, and is more-or-less the equivalent of NATO for the U.S. led coalition. The two main factions as defined above have to contend with the three main conflict or potential conflict areas, Ukraine, Israel and the Levant and the Horn of Africa, and China East Asia.

The fact that two U.S. Super Aircraft Carriers continue to be deployed in the constricted waters of the Red Sea shows that the Israel-First / Ultra-Zionist operatives still have significant influence in the councils of Trump's Regime. The actual agreement was that the Houthis will no longer attack American Ships, but it did not mention the interdiction of ships registered in Israel, or Israeli owned, or carrying cargo bound for Israel; a practice that a Houthi Spokesperson has specifically stated will continue; as long as the Israeli Genocidal attacks on Gaza continue. The American ships that are actually in question are naval vessels; as far as commercial shipping is concerned the U.S. only has around 175 – 185 cargo ships in commission; that amounts to around 0.5% to 0.6% of worldwide commercial shipping tonnage. The two U.S. Super Carriers, the USS Harry S. Truman, and the USS Carl Vinson, are still in the area; though I do not know if they have already departed from the constricted waters of the Red Sea. The F-18s that were lost (a total of 3 as far as the United States Navy {USN} has acknowledged) were all from the USS Harry S. Truman, as the USS Carl Vinson has replaced its F-18 squadrons with F-35Cs, the latest fighter bomber built for the USN. The USN has 11 super carriers in service, 10 Nimitz class and the first of the latest class the USS Gerald R. Ford. One more Ford Class is built and is now “fitting out” in preparation for deployment later this year, 2 more are in earlier stages of construction; one of those is planned for delivery in 2028 and the other in 2032.

Trump had earlier agreed to the 2-month aerial assault on Yemen that included numerous bombing raids, and included moving 6 B-2s to Diego Garcia, 6 out of a total force of 21 a not inconsiderable portion of the “crown jewel” of U.S. manned aerial weaponry. Another issue that arises is that, along with the supplies given (sold?) to the Ukrainians and the weapons supplied to Israel for the now over 1 ½ year long assault on Gaza. Because of these actions the U.S. Military's stores of bombs, missiles, and conventional bunker buster bombs are nearly exhausted. The remaining big cache of those kinds of weapons are stored in the Pacific, in readiness for a struggle with China. The shortage of munitions is acute, and the lag time for producing a significant amount more, slow due to the debilitated state of the western Finance Dominated partially deindustrialized societies. Then there is the question of using tactical nuclear bombs, particularly tactical nuclear bunker buster bombs. Plenty of Corporate Controlled Media outlets have discussed the chance that Russia might resort to using tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine. But it seems to fall to the left to point out that the U.S. is actually more likely to resort to using tactical nuclear weapons, particularly now that its main cache of conventional bunker buster bombs are expended, and did not actually destroy any notable Houthi headquarters or bunkers. The array of deep bunkers that Iran uses are much more numerous and deeper than what the Yemenis were able to construct under Houthi leadership. The Iranian bunker system is not susceptible to conventional bunker busters and it will be very tempting to use tactical nuclear bunker buster bombs if the U.S. participates with Israel in an attack on Iran. It is also worth noting that, during the first Trump Regime period, the Ukrainian military tripled in size and was supplied with weapons by the U.S. The issues discussed here put the lie to the Trumpian Pose that he would stop the “Endless Wars”, he is just as reckless and foolhardy as the Neo-Con Democrats are/were and is infinitely worse in domestic affairs, leading the reinvigorated Republican War on American Women, and the destruction of the communities and life styles of the American poor, including impoverished whites who, to one degree or another, support his regime.

Some analysts think that Trump has recently put Benjamin Netanyahu “in his place”, that is that he is merely a loyal vassal who follows orders from his liege lord. That Trump might have pointed out some unpleasant truths to Netanyahu is possible. But no thinking observer should ever underestimate the power and influence of the Israel-Firsters / Ultra-Zionist (“The Israel Lobby” as defined by John Mearsheimer and a variety of others). They are fully aware of the importance of, not just being the last ones to whisper their nostrums into the ears of Trump, but they have large, disciplined, and well funded legions of their operatives working inside the U.S. Government, the U.S. Military, and the “Intelligence Agencies”, public and private as well as large cohort of lobbyists putting the fear of a “primary challenge” into enough members of Congress in both houses to maintain legal support for the Zionist agenda. We will know that the most radical of the Zionists have won the day when we see the Super Carriers move out of the “confined seas” to safer and more distant waters in the Indian Ocean.
