Introduction by desmond: The U.S. / Israeli War against Iran entered into and remains in a relatively dormant stage, after the first 2 months of acute fighting. In reality the U.S. / Israelis lost the war against the Iranians. Trump and his advisors are trying to figure out a way to withdraw from the war with a veneer of success and triumph. The Israelis, who don't care a fig for the political problems faced by the Trumpistas, are trying to convince, coerse, or hoodwink Trump and his advisors / handlers into massive and high energy attacks against Iran. For the U.S. military, that lost huge amounts of radars (billions of dollars worth) and large amounts of weaponry, this would be a last-gasp effort. To replace some of the lost capabilities the U.S. military has moved radars and weapons systems to the Middle East from East Asian allies such as S. Korea and Japan as well as from the U.S. itself.
The likelihood that Trump will manipulate Congress into passing some sort of war powers limitations and will claim that an imminent victory that was derailed by a “stab in the back” is discussed in Item 1)., “Chas Freeman: Crisis ….”; and in Item 2)., “Prof. John Mearsheimer: Neocons ….”.
In Item 3)., “Iran War Cheerleaders ….”, Daniel Davis looks at the far-right's ongoing prowar propaganda and disinformation operations.
