Statement from Michael and Susan Pretti Parents of Alex Jeffrey Pretti
“We are heartbroken but also very angry. Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact.
We do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However, his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed.
Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.”
First come the fascist murders, then comes the fascist murder of the truth about the murders.
The video evidence is clear as day: US Border Patrol agents cold-bloodedly murdered Alex Pretti in broad daylight as punishment for recording their actions and for trying to protect a woman they were abusing.
The Trump administration says Mr. Pretti is a “domestic terrorist” who came after federal immigration agents with a weapon determined to do “maximum lethal damage” to Department of Homeland Security personnel. The fascist Trump regime even at first called him a criminal immigrant.
This is all total unmitigated bullshit, as in “2+2=5” and “black is white” and “war is peace.”
Big Fascist Brother is openly and brazenly lying, yet again, as in the case of Renee Good, as (to this day) about January 6 and the 2020 election, as with the claim that ICE is going after criminals mainly, as on the climate catastrophe, as on one thing after another and another and another.
Video recordings from various angles show that Mr. Petti never drew his legally owned pistol. He never brandished it at federal agents.
Mr. Pretti was beaten, restrained, pistol-whipped, and disarmed before agents fired into his back.
The agents kept firing into his body after the first shots sent him to the ground. They shot him at least nine more times.
One federal agent is heard saying “boo hoo!” to outraged observers before the masked thugs fled the scene.
This was a cold-blooded Gestapo-style murder.
Alex Pretti was a US citizen and an ICU nurse who provided critical care to veterans at the local VA hospital. He has no criminal record.
Recording local, state, and federal gendarmes is not illegal.
Standing nearby law enforcement officers is not illegal.
Carrying a firearm is legal in Minnesota and Mr. Petti had a concealed carry permit.
The lying fascist motherfuckers atop the US government right now are a supreme menace to everything decent and good. They must be removed from power immediately, before it’s too late to stop the final consolidation of fascist power in the United States — an exterminist prospect backed by droves of deranged, bootlicking Trumpist Amerikaners. These native US fascists applauded the racist teen Nazi Kyle Rittenhouse for murdering two people with an illegally owned AR-15 at a Black Lives rally in Kenosha, Wisconsin in August of 2020, but can’t muster Second Amendment (gun rights) sympathy for the legal gun owner Alex Petti since Petti was standing up against a neo-Nazi regime invading his city, an invasion they support.
