Introduction by desmond morista: I don't know how many of the readers here have followed this latest Trump Tantrum, but keeping in mind that the main purpose of most of his machinations is to divert attention from the Epstein Files and evidence of his perversion and criminality: I have posted Item 1)., “President John F. Kennedy's ….”, commemorate the fact that tomorrow is Nov 22nd and also the 62nd anniversary of the killing of JFK on the streets of Dallas, Texas. The assassination of JFK marks the move of the sort of tactics into the U.S., already widely used in other parts of the world, that prominently featured intimidation, subversion and murder. JFK realized that the immense amounts of money spent by the U.S. and other courtries on weaponry and war could be diverted to social welfare spending. He publicly advocated for phased reductions in the military of both the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. and all other nations. Done gradually that would have freed up massive amounts of resources for more positive uses but would not have upset the socioeconomic and political systems of the countries involved. He was also keen to begin the reduction and eventual elimination of nuclear weapons for all countries, including the U.S.itself; and the lively program of Israel, during the 1950s and 1960s, to produce a nuclear weapon using technology stolen and purchased from the U.S., England, and France. China joined the “nuclear club” in 1964 and Israel did so (according to experts) in 1967. Kennedy worked, in secret, with his aide and close friend Ted Sorenson on the speech. Nobody at any U.S. Governmental Agency or any private pressure groups knew about the content of the speech. JFK wanted it to mark the beginning of a wide offensive to make some serious changes in U.S. society. Anyhow 4 ½ months after delivering the Commencement Address JFK was dead.
In contrast Trump responded with Truth Social posts threatening, with execution, the 6 Democratic members of Congress who posted a political ad; aimed primarily at members of the military. That ad is in the beginning of Item 2). “ 'You are not allowed ….”, in which these Congress members, namely Sens. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) and Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), as well as Reps. Jason Crow (D-Colo.), Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.), Maggie Goodlander (D-N.H.) and Chris Deluzio (D-Pa.), were featured in the Tuesday video. They are all either military veterans or worked in national security-focused roles before taking office. We should also remember that in the assembly of top military officers from around the world ,Trump told them that he intends to use “US cities as ‘training grounds’ for military” preparation for future operations. In his rage against the 6 Democratic Congress members Trump posted threatening statements on Truth Social. Four of those posts are here below.
In addition responses by some Democrats and pretty much non-repsonses by Republicans are found in Item 3)., “Outrage after Trump accuses ….”. Mike Johnson and Presidential spokesperson Karoline Leavitt are featured in the article. We need to remember that, like most of his actions over the past few weeks the is mostly an attempt by Trump to divert attention away from the Epstein Files, but his vicious posts are pretty typical of his real views.
Item 4)., “Trump suggests using US cities ….”, discusses Trump's desire to send heavily armed troops into Blue State, Democratic Party run cities to attack them and supposedly “fight crime” (all Republicans rail about “street Crime” while they hide and protect corporate and wealthy crimes that take at least 10 times the toll on our population). Also, from the meeting where Pete Hegseth called in 800 Generals and Admirals from around the world, I am posting a link to parts of Trump's speech. Outrage after Trump accuses Democrats of ‘seditious behavior, punishable by death’
Democrats expressed outrage after Donald Trump accused a group of Democratic lawmakers of engaging in “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH” and that they should be arrested after they posted a video in which they told active service members they should refuse illegal orders.
The video, released on Tuesday, features six Democratic lawmakers who have previously served in the military or in intelligence roles, including senators Elissa Slotkin and Mark Kelly, and representatives Maggie Goodlander, Chris Deluzio, Chrissy Houlahan and Jason Crow.
“Like us, you all swore an oath to protect and defend this constitution,” the lawmakers said in the 90-second video. “And right now, the threats to our constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home. Our laws are clear, you can refuse illegal orders, you can refuse illegal orders, you must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our constitution.”
That seemed to prompt a furious response from the US president.
On Thursday morning, Trump wrote on Truth Social: “It’s called SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL.”
In another post, he wrote: “This is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP??? President DJT.” In a third post, he added: “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!” He also reposted a statement that said: “HANG THEM GEORGE WASHINGTON WOULD !!”
Following Trump’s statements on Thursday, House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries, Democratic whip Katherine Clark and Democratic caucus chair Pete Aguilar released a joint statement condemning the remarks.
“Political violence has no place in America,” they wrote. “Representatives Jason Crow, Chris DeLuzio, Maggie Goodlander and Chrissy Houlahan and Senators Mark Kelly and Elissa Slotkin all served our country with tremendous patriotism and distinction. We unequivocally condemn Donald Trump’s disgusting and dangerous death threats against members of Congress, and call on House Republicans to forcefully do the same.”
The Democratic leaders also said that they had been in contact with the House sergeant at arms and the United States Capitol police “to ensure the safety of these members and their families”.
“Donald Trump must immediately delete these unhinged social media posts and recant his violent rhetoric before he gets someone killed,” the statement added.
The lawmakers who appeared in the video also released a statement.
“We are veterans and national security professionals who love this country and swore an oath to protect and defend the constitution of the United States,” they said. “That oath lasts a lifetime, and we intend to keep it. No threat, intimidation, or call for violence will deter us from that sacred obligation.”
“What’s most telling is that the president considers it punishable by death for us to restate the law,” they continued. “Our service members should know that we have their backs as they fulfill their oath to the constitution and obligation to follow only lawful orders. It is not only the right thing to do, but also our duty.”
They added: “Every American must unite and condemn the president’s calls for our murder and political violence. This is a time for moral clarity.”
Chuck Schumer, the Democratic Senate minority leader, also condemned Trump’s remarks and posted on X: “Let’s be crystal clear: the President of the United States is calling for the execution of elected officials.”

He added: “This is an outright THREAT. Every Senator, every Representative, every American – regardless of party – should condemn this immediately and without qualification.”
Mike Johnson, the Republican House speaker, defended Trump’s claim that the Democrats had engaged in “sedition”, describing the video as “wildly inappropriate”, adding: “It is very dangerous, you have leading members of Congress telling troops to disobey orders, I think that’s unprecedented in American history.”
Johnson also reportedly told the Independent that in what he read of Trump’s posts, Trump was “defining the crime of sedition”.
“But obviously attorneys have to parse the language and determine all that. What I’m saying, what I will say unequivocally, that was a wildly inappropriate thing for so-called leaders in Congress to do to encourage young troops to disobey orders,” Johnson added.
During a White House press conference on Thursday afternoon, when asked by a reporter, “Does the president want to execute members of Congress?”, Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, responded: “No.”
“Let’s be clear about what the president is responding to,” Leavitt said. “You have sitting members of the US Congress who conspired together to orchestrate a video message to members of the US military, to active duty service members encouraging them to defy the president’s lawful orders.
She said: “The sanctity of our military rests on the chain of command, and if that chain of command is broken, it can lead to people getting killed, it can lead to chaos, and that’s what these members of Congress … are essentially encouraging.”

President Donald Trump told a gathering of military leaders Tuesday they should use American cities as “training grounds” to fight against what he called a “war from within.”
“We should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military, National Guard, but military,” Trump told an audience filled with top generals and admirals in Quantico, Virginia.
He told the commanders that defending the homeland was the military’s “most important priority” and suggested the leaders in attendance could be tasked with assisting federal law enforcement interventions against an “invasion from within” Democratic-led cities, such as Chicago and New York City.
The White House has already directed the deployment of National Guard troops across Washington, D.C., after declaring a public safety emergency.
On Tuesday, he suggested that Afghanistan — where more than 2,400 American troops and hundreds of Afghan troops and civilians were killed in a brutal, two-decades-long war — was safer than the U.S. capital prior to the federal government’s intervention in August.
“Washington, D.C., was the most unsafe, most dangerous city in the United States of America, and to a large extent beyond, and beyond that. You go to Afghanistan, they didn’t have anything like that,” Trump told the military leaders.
The remarks came one day after the president and First Lady Melania Trump hosted a reception for 50 Gold Star families at the White House. The gathering included military families who lost loved ones in Afghanistan.
According to FBI data, Cleveland, St. Louis and Memphis, Tennessee, are plagued with the highest total crime rates — not Washington. Crime has been down across the board in D.C., with 20-year homicide trends at their lowest point since the 2020 pandemic, according to the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department.
The nation’s capital has sued the Trump administration for deploying the National Guard within the city’s boundaries, with the D.C. attorney general’s office alleging that the administration’s efforts are an “involuntary military occupation.”
National Guard troops are deploying this week to Portland, Oregon, and Memphis as part of the administration’s effort to quell crime and unrest in those cities.
Democratic leaders in Oregon have challenged the Oregon Guard’s deployment orders in court, filing a suit against Trump, Hegseth and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Sunday that accuses the administration of exceeding its executive powers and basing its actions on a “wildly hyperbolic pretext.”
“The President says Portland is a ‘War ravaged’ city ‘under siege’ from ‘domestic terrorists.’ Defendants have thus infringed on Oregon’s sovereign power to manage its own law enforcement activity and National Guard resource,” Oregon officials said in the lawsuit.
According to CNN, Portland Police Bureau logs show more than 100 calls made to the address of the city’s Immigrations and Customs Enforcement building this year for reasons including “disorder,” “unwanted person” and shots fired.
One riot was reported outside the ICE building, when the national “No Kings” rally in June turned violent in the area, prompting three arrests.
Some current and former defense officials have raised concerns to Military Times that the deployments appear authoritarian and threaten to drive a wedge between the military and American citizens.
“It will no longer be that our military is part of us. It’ll be, ‘It’s those guys in uniform, those armed thugs,’” Retired Maj. Gen. Randy Manner, who served as vice chief of the National Guard Bureau, told Military Times earlier this month.
Crime has continued to decline since more than 2,200 Guard members deployed to Washington. The Guard members have also focused on “beautification” efforts that have spruced up public park areas that officials say have been neglected amid National Park Service manpower shortages following cuts, buyouts and contract freezes initiated earlier this year by the Department of Government Efficiency.
Guard members have “cleared 1,133 bags of refuse, spread 1,045 cubic yards of mulch, removed five truckloads of plant waste, cleared 7.9 miles of roadway, painted 270 feet of fencing, 400 trees pruned, and packaged 6,030 pounds of food,” according to the latest data provided Monday by the joint task force in charge of the D.C. deployment.
