Introduction by dmorista: It is clear that Donald Trump is afraid of some of the material that is included in the Epstein Files. It is no secret that Trump was long a sexual predator who used his personal wealth, power, and social position to obtain sex; but if the evidence shows that he was raping 12 and 13 year old girls that would be the end for him. The weird Puritan Moral Traditions of the U.S. populace would make Trump non-viable if such allegations could be substantiated. Something on the order ot 350 Gigabytes of material was removed from a safe in Epstein's Manhattan Brownstone residence and whisked away to FBI custody. It is significant that the calls, on the right, to release the Epstein Files were responded to by Atty Gen Bondi and others in the Trump Regime by claiming they want to release the Grand Jury Transcripts; which are extremely limited documents in which a prosecutor and a cop did ALL THE TALKING. There is no testimony from the girls (who were criminalized and incredibly shabbily treated by the Criminal Justice System), and there are no videos.
However, the huge majority of this material are videos of wealthy and powerful adult men having sex with underage girls, many of them in the 12 and 13 year old range. Epstein ran a classic “honey-trap” blackmail operation for years and was allowed to continue his activities even after the “sweetheart” conviction and sentencing in Palm Beach, Florida in 2005. Most of the Criminal Justice system not only failed to seriously punish Epstein, but also treated the girls who had been victimized very shabbily, often punitively classifying them and handling them as prostitutes. The case was kept alive by the resistance to political and legal pressure by the honest Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter, a couple of detectives who worked for Reiter, and by the series of powerful expose articles by reporter Julie K. Brown, working at the Miami Herald. Brown later wrote a book Perversion of Justice: The Jeffrey Epstein Story,
The Trump Regime's so-called Department of Justice seems to be working on rehabilitating the reputation of Ghislane Maxwell, the procurer and recruiter of girls (from local junior high schools and high schools) and trying to portray her as a female victim. The likely outcome of a Bondi / Trump deal with Ghislane Maxwell would be to release her after a pardon or clemency ruling and allow her to leave the country (she previously sheltered in Israel which is a favorite destination for pedophiles who want to take advantage of the Israeli No-Extradition policy). The women who were victimized by Epstein all emphasize the central role that Ghislane Maxwell played in recruiting, grooming and teaching them how to sexually interact with the adult men.
In Item 1)., “Trump’s Creepy Claim ….” and in Item 2)., “Trump & Epstein: ….”, the intrepid journalist David Cay Johnston notes that if the case is allowed to grow cold that Trump will wriggle out. Journalists and citizen activists need to keep a spotlight focused on it. If adequate proof of sexual activities by Trump, with underage girls, can be produced it will finish him politically; not with his most loyal cult members, but with a large swathe of people who supported him. In Item 3)., “Jeffrey Epstein's New Secrets ….”, Julie Brown discusses various ramifications of the case with Tim Miller of The Bulwark; Brown worked on the case years later and looked for and found around 60 women (by then in their late twenties or thirties). She talked with them about what had happened and how it had affected their lives.
In Item 4)., “The Trump-Epstein-Israel Connection ….”, Whitney Webb discusses some of the information she has generated about the use of Sexual Blackmail by a combination of organized crime and the predecessor of the CIA (the Office of Strategic Services, the OSS) in the1940s. Webb is one of the most important sources about this issue. She also wrote 2 books on the subject, One Nation Under Blackmail – Vol. 1: The Sordid Union Between Intelligence and Organized Crime that Gave Rise to Jeffrey Epstein and One Nation Under Blackmail – Vol. 2: The Sordid Union Between Intelligence and Organized Crime that Gave Rise to Jeffrey Epstein. The specific information and analysis about Epstein that she developed is mostly in Vol 2.
In Item 5). “Max Blumenthal: ….” and 6).,“How close was ….”, Max Blumenthal discusses the many close ties between Epstein and the Israeli far-right wing and the Zionist project. And in Item 7)., “How's Trump's policies hurt ….”, Desai and Hudson take a wider view but include some discussion of the Israeli situation and how U.S. policies affect Israel and vice versa.
