A War is Coming … Where Will the Blow Fall First? ~~ Malcolm Nance

War is coming - where will the US strike First?

If you thought things were bad in the American national security sphere in the last 48 hours be prepared for another dramatic shift in US policy that will affect every one of you reading this. Apparently, the Trump regime is preparing for two major blows to US foreign policy. They are making it clear they intend to invade and seize Greenland and they are also silently preparing to attack Iran with strategic bombers.

Which blow falls first is entirely up to Trump.

The joke is we should be well informed of any impending attack by just checking to see if we were inadvertently added to a Signal chat.

Recall that last week saw one of the most disastrous security breaches in US history when Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Defense, Pete Hesketh, National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, CIA director John Radcliffe and Director of national Security, Tulsi Gabbard exposed secret war plans using the Signal app on their private phones. As I made clear in my analysis, this may be the greatest breach of intelligence in US history … principally because the principals were using private telephones to communicate on the Signal app. Even thought it is encrypted, the phones are relatively easy to crack and thus virtually everything they have ever said or written could be read.

To top this off we discovered this week that Mike Waltz was also doing top security communications using his personal Gmail account. No. Kidding.

However, while all of this what’s transpiring the Trump regime quietly started moving 1/3 of America’s strategic bomb force from its home base in Missouri to a secret remote airstrip in the middle of the Indian Ocean called Diego Garcia. In late March a mass of US Air Force in flight refueling tankers were seen staging all across the Pacific Ocean from California. This indicated that an air armada was being formed and needed nonstop inflight refueling.

Within a day, six B2 Spirit stealth bombers were detected landing in Diego Garcia in the middle of the Indian Ocean. I’ve been to Diego Garcia many times and the only way to describe it is rocky sand island with an airstrip. It has always been the US Department of defense strategy, when using the B2 was to fly nonstop round the world to their target zone, release their ordinance and then return back to Missouri, or continue on and land in Guam for refueling. Virtually every previous mission was flown by a single aircraft. To see six of them stage together with all of their maintenance and armaments crews is a clear indicator that Trump intends to send a signal to Iran that he is putting in place resources to be able to attack them. Why?

Trump sent a letter to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei demanding they stop developing nuclear weapons and return to the negotiating table. Iran rejected the proposal out of hand, quoting the Signal app scandal noting that Trump’s cabinet says one thing in public while plotting in private.

The JCPOA under President Obama and Biden sought to rein in Iranian nuclear production through a series of financial incentives. Upon taking office in 2017 Trump immediately destroyed that effort in Iran went forward with developing its nuclear program and the ballistic missiles that could launch a bomb anywhere in the Middle East. Now that Trump has returned to office he is working in common cause with Israel’s president Benjamin Netanyahu to disarm Iran. Israel has shown that they have the technical and military skill to strike Iran with great precision and defend against its counter attacks by ballistic missiles.

Netanyahu has likely convinced Trump that now is the time to demand complete disarmament or to join forces and strike the Iranian nuclear weapons program once and for all. This led to the quiet deployment of the B2 bombers.

The distance between Diego Garcia and Tehran is approximately 3600 miles (5,500km), a six hour flight. An hour of which could be flying over a very hostile Iranian airspace. The US has deployed over 100 additional combat aircraft to the theater to support an attack. Trump also ordered the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson to depart its deployment in Asia and head at top speed to the Arabian Gulf. When it arrives in Mid-April all of the pieces will be in place to attack.

On the Israeli side, reports are increasing that Netanyahu met with Trump in Washington and got agreement to conduct a joint attack and strike Iran with the full might of its air force in cooperation with the Americans.

One thing is for certain. If this attack is carried out the entire Middle East will be set on fire. Iran has very limited options to strike the United States, but it can strike America’s closest Arab ally, Saudi Arabia. Over the past two decades, Iran has managed to disable the entire Saudi oil industry through cyber attacks, and ballistic missile attacks from Yemen. However, the States would have to be prepared for Iran to launch thousands of men across the Arabian golf, who would likely seize and destroy Saudi Arabia’s eastern oil fields. The Iranians would also shut the narrow waterway between Iran and Oman, thus stopping all fuel trade from the gulf. It would have an immediate and devastating impact on oil prices all around the world. Quite possibly topping the $150 a barrel mark. Worse, is that the Iranian people who have been desperate to break off the chains of the regime and embrace democracy would likely see an American Israeli attack as a provocation. At attack would rally around the regime and set back a decades work fostering democracy.

On the other hand Greenland is being positioned by Washington for a clandestine military take over.

Vice President JD Vance visited the US Space Force Base in Pittufik Greenland with his wife, Usha. The Second Lady did not attend the dog races in Sisimuk as planned when word got out that she would be roundly protested and that Greenlanders did not want to meet with her. The Vances flew from the United States to the space base, 1,000 miles north of the capitol and met with US service members indoors for just three hours. Just before returning JD Vance made it eminently clear that the United States would be taking Greenland, but said military force would not be necessary. He said “Our message to Denmark is very simple: You have not done a good job by the people of Greenland … You have underinvested in the people of Greenland, and you have underinvested in the security architecture of this incredible, beautiful landmass filled with incredible people. That has to change.”

The Prime Minister of Greenland Jens-Frederik Nielsen pushed back “President Trump says that the United States is getting Greenland. Let me be clear: the United States won’t get that. We do not belong to anyone else. We determine our own future.”

For the US to invade there would be many indicators from mobilization of Marines, amphibious ships and special operations forces kitted out for deep Arctic conditions. Worse they’d need to occupy the country full of high powered rifles and men who know how to use them.

Stay tuned. One of these is going to pop, but which one first?
