“Whoever coined the phrase
‘Blood is thicker than water’
Probably died from thirst
Expecting relatives
Instead of friends
To bring water first.”
‘On the Verge of Turning 70’
“Imagining my life
as a clock . . .
I’m at 7pm In the evening.
Sometimes
At that time
The sun is still
An afternoon delite.
Other days
At the same time
The sky is dark
As the blackest midnight.”
