Introduction: The attention of the world, and the great majority of the ongoing war reports that fill the news, have now shifted from Ukraine to Israel. The Israeli Government has announced that they have assembled 300,000 troops, apparently in preparation for a major invasion of The Gaza Strip. The U.S. military has announced that the latest aircraft carrier, the U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford and 4 Aegis Guided Missile Cruisers and other escorts are sailing to position themselves off the coast of Israel to lend whatever support the U.S. regime thinks is appropriate (perhaps they have a ship, accompanying the Gerald R. Ford, that is equipped with acid to flush out the constantly malfunctioning toilet systems in the ship).

Of course the Corporate Controlled Media has focused on the situation in Israel; complete with the usual suspects, from U.S. Intelligence and Imperial Lobbyists, to a major lineup of Israeli Officials. All testifying as to how innocent and noble Israel is and now dastardly and depraved Hamas was for launching this supposedly “Unprovoked Attack”. Various American politicians, from both duopoly parties have appeared to sing the praises of Israel and to swear unswerving support for the Jewish State.

Of course, whatever one thinks of this latest outbreak of violence in Israel, one thing it most certainly is not is “Unprovoked”; just as the Russian escalation of the struggle in Ukraine by invading in 2022 was many things, but certainly was not “Unprovoked”. The “Liberal” outlets of The Corporated Controlled media had recently been allowing a higher level of criticism of Israel's endless outrages against the Palestinians who live in Israel (largely in the Occupied West Bank, the remnants of Arab East Jerusalem, and in The Gaza Strip). This “leniency” is now pretty much ended, at least for the time being.

Articles 1 – 4 represent some of the Internet based commentary that is seriously critical of Israel. Articles 5 & 6 are examples of Corporate Controlled Media outlets with some massive coverage. Articles 5 & 6, from Aljazeera and from Mid East Eye respectively, are clearly more critical of Israel and more supportive of the Palestinians than is Article 7 from NBC News.

The U.S. itself, and its Empire, seem to be increasingly unstable and at risk for some serious changes. Anybody who spends any time reading about what has happened in Israel knows that there are endless outrages committed against the Palestinian population of Israel. Assaults by thuggish settlers and usurpers who use the legal system of Israel to steal East Jerusalem homes or expropriate West Bank properties, while crisscrossing the West Bank with Jews only roads. The Gaza Strip, that has about 2.2 million inhabitants, still has only brackish drinking water that is too salty drink safely and those who are poor enough that they are forced to drink it regularly are dying from kidney problems. The Gaza Strip is, in essence, a refugee camp that has developed into a city. At 141 square miles it is only slightly bigger than the City of Detroit, at 139 square miles, that had 1.85 million inhabitants at its time of greatest population in 1950. Gaza has been cut off from the outside world for many years, Israeli forces intercepted a couple of ships that tried to bring medical supplies and food, killing an American in one of the incidents.

As James Petras pointed out, long before this latest outbreak of violence and mayhem, in his still unrivaled relatively short analysis of U.S. Imperial Actions. In the wake of the September 11, 2001 events:

“The build-up for the US war against Iraq has to be understood as a project wholly engineered by and for the state of Israel, mostly through its agents within the US government and Washington policy elite. The goal was to establish Israel as the unchallenged political-military power in the region using American troops and money and preparing the ground for Tel Aviv's 'final solution' for the Palestinian 'problem'; total expulsion. ….

“The US gained an unreliable, broken colony, with a devastated economy and systematically destroyed infrastructure and without the functioning civil service needed for a modern state. To pay for the mess, the American people faced a spiraling budget deficit, tens of thousands of American war casualties and massive cuts in their own social programs. As far as I know Petras (who is/was a secular Jew and scholar, but who was an American first and a long-time critic of Jewish Power in the U.S.) never came out and said directly that Israel, with the cooperation of Sayanim American Jews and other elements of the U.S. ruling class, played any significant role in the 9-11 events. (Sayanim def. {sing. Sayan}; Hebrew: helpers, assistants are Jews who live in and often hold the citizenship of lands outside of Israel, but who are recruited clandestinely by the Mossad to assist with its operations. Israel has long played a complex dual role in U.S. foreign policy and in U.S. domestic politics. In fact this goes back at least to, the assassinations of the Kennedy Brothers who stood in the way of some major Israeli political and military policies (They were both advocates for stopping nuclear weapon proliferation, as well as rolling back the stockpiles and eventually eliminating nuclear weapons, and also for forcing Israeli front organizations to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act {FARA} ). The Mossad violently attacked U.S. and British interests in Egypt, with a fire bombing campaign in the early 1950s that was exposed as the Lavon Affair (Egyptian Police solved the source of the attacks after an Egyptian Jew working on the secret campaign had his incendiary bombs explode in the trunk of his care before he placed them. Ben Gurion resigned as Prime Minister of Israel to concentrate on obtaining nuclear materials from the U.S., after JFK was elected. I am not saying that “the Jews killed the Kennedys”, but I am saying that the Israelis, and cooperative Sayanim American Jews, were players in the intrigues and conspiracies of the day. The other major well-known Israeli attack on the U.S. was the U.S.S. Liberty situation; in which on June 8, 1967 Israeli war planes bombed, strafed, and torpedoed the American spy ship. The ship was observing and intercepting Israeli and Egyptian and other military communications during the 1967 Arab-Israeli war. Lyndon Johnson personally called the admiral, who had dispatched a flight of U.S. Carrier based aircraft to protect the U.S.S. Liberty from further Israeli attacks, and ordered him to call the mission back to the carriers. As a result U.S. sailors suffered through more Israeli attacks and there were 34 killed and 171 wounded. The survivors were threatened with courts martial if they ever discussed the events. And it took a few years to leak out.
