Introduction:    Richard Wolff delivers a bi-monthly lecture on world and domestic events.  The January talk, “Global Capitalism: The Second War In Ukraine [January 2023]”, focuses on the U.S / NATO Proxy War against Russia being waged in Ukraine.  Wolff looks most closely at the economic aspects of that war.  He discusses the sanctions, that attempted to deal a deadly blow to the Russian economy and to destroy the Ruble as a viable currency.  Wolff notes that most of the world has not cooperated with that U.S. / NATO initiative.  It is a crisp to the point talk.

The older talk, “Global Capitalism: War, Sanctions, Deepening Splits: Economic, Political, and Cultural [July 2022]”, also looks at the economic aspects of the Proxy War in Ukraine, but spends more time looking at other Global issues of Capitalism and the ongoing developments in the relationship between the Global North and the Global South.
