The time has certainly arrived for the Blue states, their populations, and their politicians to quit Obeying the Supreme Court.  The Supreme Court was not granted the power to rule the country in the Consitution.  It took that power for itself in 1803 in Marbury v. Madison, and did not really exercise that power until about the 1880s.  Historically the Supreme Court has been a reactionary institution for most of its tenure.  The recent history of the Supreme Court is, in fact, the worst in the history of the nation.  They have no army, nor police powers, and increasingly no particular authority at this point (the latest poll taken in the last few days shows approval of the Supreme Court has hit an all time low of 25%, absolutely unprecedented, and apparently that approval rate is falling even further); they should be ignored.  Large crowds of young Americans (the majority are supporters of Abortion Rights, but the Anti-Choice adherents are there too).  The demonstrators are not leaving, in fact the crowd has grown in size; and increasingly there is an edge to the gathering, and hostility openly being expressed between the two factions, who are gathered around the Supreme Court building.   

The evil Partisan Hack dominated, fascist controlled, U.S. Supreme Court has issued 2 diametrically opposed opinions over the past 2 days. Today, Friday June 24^th, they posted a ruling that the Abortion Laws of the U.S. should be controlled state by state and allowed to devolve to the most reactionary level possible in 26 states immediately. On Thursday, June 23^rd they ruled that New York's gun licensing law is unconstitutional, thus imposing a national regulation of gun laws. In addition, on Thursday June 23, the court ruled that  Maine has to provide funding for religious private schools. So 3 of the major pillars of civilization in the U.S. were attacked by the SCOTUS over the past 2 days.  Namely these are 1). Women's health care access, 2). decent quality public schools and, 3). the ability of people to live in communities that do not ascribe to the primitive concept of allowing any crackpot to walk around toting a gun of some sort. 

The issue of Roe v. Wade is not the end of this reactionary / fascist assault on the populace of the U.S., it is just the beginning. So far the response of the Democratic leadership has been weak. Trying to use this horrific ruling to motivate people to vote for them (not that I am opposed to that but more, much more is needed). The loathsome Clarence Thomas has already, this morning, called for rulings to overturn other basic rights. And let's not be deceived these Culture War issues are mostly cover and bait to fire up the fascist oriented base of the Republican Party, the real issues are economic, union organizing and economic rights of the bulk of the population to the endless depredations of the corporations and their allies in the government (and the Democrats are far from blameless there).

Fascist Regimes have consistently made abortion illegal as a first move after taking power. The U.S. is in a crisis that could easily lead to the imposition of fascist rule here, THIS IS NO JOKE. Each reader here will need to decide what is important to them. Thom Hartman pointed out that President Biden could, completely legally, issue an Executive Order providing space and financial assisstance to establish Abortion and other Reproductive Services on military bases. And the worst Red States are, of course, full of Federally Funded installations of that sort. Those places could provide abortion and other reproductive services, and do so while being guarded by military formations, that posses actual military weapons to ensure the safety of those who access those services. This is just one of many possible ideas. Blue States could be much more aggressive in passing laws to counteract the Vigilante system of right-wing enforcement of the Texas' and other state Abortion Access.

There is a plethora of material at the 3 sites I have recommended for perusal. This is a dark day, but for those of us who have tried to wake up the mass of the American People, this is a major event. Young Women, are overwhelmingly, supportive of Abortion Rights.
